10 Things You Didn’t Know About Fuller House Star Lori Loughlin
Lori Loughlin rose to fame through her role as the cool Aunt Becky on the popular sitcom series Full House. The model turned actress is also well recognized for her role on the CW spin-off 90210 and the WB series, Summerland, which she co-produced and co-created. Loughlin also stars on the Hallmark series, When Calls the Heart, which just wrapped up its third season last spring. As a wife of nearly 20 years and mother of three, Loughlin has definitely been busy since the original Full House ended 21 years ago. She’s come full circle since then by reprising her beloved role in the Netflix revival, Fuller House. The second season will be out on December 9, we’ve decided to learn more about the popular actress who won our hearts 25 years ago! Here’s a look at 10 things you probably didn’t know about Lori Loughlin!
10. Normal Childhood
Lori Loughlin was born on July 28, 1964 in Queens, New York City. Despite being born in Queens, she grew up in Hauppauge, New York on Long Island when her family moved there at the age of one. Her parents are Lorellee Loughlin and Joseph Roy Loughlin, who worked as a foreman for the New York Telephone Company. She also has one sibling, a younger brother named Roy. She had an extremely normal childhood, aside from the fact that she started a modeling career at the age of 11! “I grew up in a great neighborhood and I remember that you just walked out the front door and you had a ton of friends to hang out and play with. It was so different from how my kids are raised, with scheduled play dates and destinations…it was great. I really have nothing but really good memories of growing up in Hauppauge,” she said.

9. Accidentally Became a Model
Acting is a hard career to get into and when someone is given an in they take it! This is kind of what happened to Lori Loughlin when she first starting looking to start her career as an actress. She took a modeling gig and accidentally got swept up in the modeling industry instead! “I always had an interest in wanting to act, but my family wasn’t in the entertainment industry at all, and we didn’t know anyone. We didn’t really even know how you begin to crack that nut. Then a good friend of my mother’s was taking her daughters to a modeling agency…They ended up taking me. They gave us a contract, like, ‘Here, we want you to sign this,’” she said. Loughlin ended up modeling for several years before she finally got an audition on-screen.
