Charlie Sheen’s ex Brooke Mueller in hospital for evaluation after 'going missing with their twin sons'
Charlie Sheen ’s ex Brooke Mueller has been hospitalized after she briefly went missing with their twins sons.
Brooke, 39, sparked worry after she reportedly turned up to a bar in Salt Lake City barefoot and looking “disheveled” with their seven-year-old twin sons Bob and Max.
According to TMZ, she allegedly got into an altercation with their nanny and left the bar before she went to check into a hotel.
A welfare check call from a woman claiming to be Brooke’s mum prompted police to search for the children.
The search continued into the early hours of Wednesday.
Law enforcement sources reportedly later told the website that Utah police spoke to Brooke on the phone and concluded that the twins were no longer in danger.
While officials told E! News that the situation turned into a standard welfare check and no criminal charges were filed.
The Utah Department of Public Safety later released a statement saying she had been taken to hospital for evaluation.

“Troopers with the Utah Highway Patrol responded to the welfare check call and located Mueller, her two children and a nanny on Interstate 15 near Nephi, Utah. The children are safe and will be released to family. Mueller was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. The State Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating the incident. We do not have any more information to release at this time.
Brooke and Charlie split in 2011 following three years of marriage.
Brooke was previously reported to have been admitted to rehab earlier this year to seek treatment for addiction issues.
In 2010, the LA County Department of Children and Family Services removed Bob and Max from Brooke’s home and temporarily placed them in Denise Richard’s custody.
