Claudia Winkleman WILL be returning to Strictly this weekend – confirmation
The mum-of-three will host this weekend’s show alongside Tess Daley, a show spokesperson has confirmed.
The star has taken a three-week break from SCD after her daughter was badly burnt in a shocking Halloween fire.
Last week, she was replaced by Zoe Ball.
The 42-year-old will kept a vigil at her eight-year-old daughter’s bedside as she recovered from the accident.
Matilda was left with severe burns after her fancy-dress costume caught on fire at a party almost three weeks ago.
The likelihood of her returning to the show was hanging in the balance, despite it being her dream gig, as she was reluctant to leave her daughter’s side.
A source told The Sun: “Matilda is taking great strides in her recovery but a long way off being completely better and Claudia just doesn’t think it would be appropriate to be on stage being upbeat while her daughter is unwell.
“At this stage she is refusing to put a time on when she’ll be back. She is going to give it as long as it takes and the BBC is being incredibly understanding.”
