I’m A Celebrity 2014: Jake Quickenden and Edwina Currie settle into jungle life as Kendra endures her second Bushtucker trial
JAKE Quickenden and Edwina Currie have only just set up camp in Croc Creek – and they have already been handed their first assignment.
The jungle newbies had to convince the other celebs that they had a terrible night’s sleep and that they deserved a bed in camp in order to win a package from home.
“We walked and poor Edwina’s like 67, isn’t she? We walked all night,” Jake said in his first attempt to trick camp mates.
“We didn’t even have a fire, we didn’t have any beds, and we slept on the floor.
“I had a Huntsman spider on my face. It was the biggest thing I’ve ever seen. Poor Edwina, it was hard for me, but for her…”
Jake successfully nabbed a bed for Edwina before continuing his rant: “So Edwina’s managed to get a bed and I think I’m going to end up failing. It’s going to have to be a girl and I don’t really want to have to take one of the girls’ beds.”
He turned to Kendra: “If I can have your bed for one night, I’ll give you a full body massage.”
“We can share,” She replied. Jake continued: “Full body, everything goes.”
Kendra tried to play it cool: “I’ll think about it a little more.”
Meanwhile, camp mates turned on the flattery after Jake ran a workout session.
He complimented Mel saying: “You’ve got a six pack.”
To which she joked: “Where’s yours? It’s alright, it’s just not as good as mine.
“I’m only teasing, you look great.”
And while Jake kept himself busy with the girls, Foggy and Jimmy couldn’t keep away from each other.
Foggy said of Jimmy: “He’s definitely bringing out the person I am at home, a bit childish and annoying, and we just get up to mischief.”
Kendra told the Bush Telegraph: “We have Brangelina, Bennifer and now we have Joggy.”
The blonde beauty was not all smiles, however, when she was forced to take part in her second consecutive Bushtucker Trial.
The horror of the cockroach chamber had the reality star screaming all the way through, pleading Get Me Out of Here and only winning one star.
As the celebrities prepared their meagre dinner of one portion of kangaroo rump with their rice and beans, Tinchy Stryder noticed a jungle python had slipped into the camp.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! 2014 continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV to see Kendra take on her third trial.
