Kris Jenner opens up about traumatic weeks following Lamar Odom's hospitalisation
Last October, Lamar Odom was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel.
While Keeping Up With The Kardashians cameras stopped filming out of respect for the former NBA star and his family, they did capture the impact the terrifying episode had on Khloe’s nearest and dearest.
In the latest episode of KUWTK, Kris Jenner discusses how Lamar is getting on after he was transferred from a Las Vegas hospital to one in Los Angeles.
“How was the transfer to LA?” Kourtney asked the momager.
Kris said she felt powerless
“I felt helpless. It was really crazy. I’m so overwhelmed with what’s going on with Lamar. It’s heartbreaking. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so powerless, and it makes me really sad.”
She continued: “I got to Cedar’s [Sinai hospital] and met all the doctors. Everyone showed up in the middle of the night. We got him settled and then I went home. I’m going back this afternoon and see what Khloe needs… Take her some fresh clothes and hopefully she’ll get her hair washed.”
Kourt said she was glad he was moved back home to LA
“I feel like relieved that he’s here,” Kourtney replied.
“I do too. I think that Khloe is less stressed out because she’s here and she can be at the hospital every day.
“Right now they have to stabilize all of his organs and they want to do another MRI and they want to make sure that the dialysis is under control because the strokes are debilitating and they don’t know yet how he’s going to respond to all of it.
“But I think just him hearing our voices and seeing us having family around is healthy and might make a difference.”
Lamar was found unconscious last October and has been making a gradual recovery ever since
Kourtney tells camera: “Khloe has been spending every second in the hospital with Lamar by his side and she feels guilty for needing to leave even if it’s to take a shower.”
Later on in the episode Kris can be seen talking to friends about Khloe’s estranged husband while at Kim’s surprise birthday party.
“Is he conscious?” Kim’s lifelong friend Allison Statter asked.
“He’s in and out of consciousness right now but he had dialysis for six hours and now that everybody knows where he is the phone didn’t stop ringing, so I’ve been calling the hospital saying don’t put another call through.

“Khloe hasn’t slept in over a week. She did not leave his side one time. I don’t even know if she’s had a shower yet.”
“Does he know she’s there?” Alison continued.
“Yeah, he knows. I looked at him and I said hi and he goes ‘hi ma’.
“The doctor at the last hospital said he basically came in here dead. The fact that he’s alive is a miracle. A miracle.”
The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch then called the family lawyer about Khloe not going through with the divorce and also spoke about Lamar possibly facing drug charges from the incident.
“I think that a retainer is reasonable. We want him to have the best attorney if they’re going to try and charge him, but on the other hand I don’t know if that decision has been made.

“They came to the hospital room and they served a search warrant in the middle of his dialysis treatment. We said he was having a procedure right now and you got to talk to Khloe. She can probably call someone in the District Attorney’s office in Nevada.”
In a confessional, Kim also opened up about Khloe calling off their divorce.
“Khloe has decided to not go through with the divorce. She has been by Lamar’s side and Lamar isn’t really in a place where he can make these important decisions so I think it’s the best decision for Khloe to make these decisions for Lamar,” she said.
