Nice to see you’ve still got it Bruce! Forsyth back for Strictly Christmas Special
Bruce Forsyth under the mistletoe with professionals Joanne, Aliona, Iveta and Natalie
The 86-year-old was given a rousing welcome when the pantomime-themed spectacular was filmed recently with former contestants including actress Lisa Riley, astrologer Russell Grant and singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Ever the showman, Sir Bruce produced some nifty footwork during a mistletoe moment with the show’s professional dancers Joanne Clifton, Aliona Vilani, Iveta Lukosiute and Natalie Lowe.
Fans have been missing Sir Bruce’s quips in recent weeks but the judges made everybody smile as they got in on the act, too.
Len Goodman played it for laughs as Baron Hardup, Bruno Tonioli was Buttons, Darcey Bussell the Christmas Fairy and Craig Revel Horwood was perfect as the pantomime baddie.
Last night Len Goodman said he is too scared to be harsh about the Strictly contestants on air because he doesn’t want to be told off by his 98-year-old mother, Louisa.
“If I am nasty my mum phones up,” said the 70-year-old head judge.
“Once, someone stopped dancing and just sat down and I gave him a low mark and my mum told me off when I got home.
“She watches Strictly and loves it.”
