Pixie’s X Factor dream keeps her on her toes for Strictly
Pixie and Trent Whiddon have wowed viewers
The singer has been stunning TV viewers with her dazzling footwork and sparkling outfits on Strictly Comes Dancing and is favourite to win this year’s competition.
However, she has revealed she would love to appear on X Factor too, alongside Simon Cowell.
Current judges, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini or Mel B, would have to make room for the pop star.
Cowell last week said he has not decided which, if any, of the current X factor panel would be invited back and says he will look at it in early 2015.
“I did X Factor as a guest judge when I was 19 or 20,”says Pixie 23. “That was fun and I felt like I was a bit young to be doing this and it was the first time I had judged anything.
“I could come back with the experience now. I actually loved being on the other side.
“I have grown up on the other side doing the auditions and being in this sort of a situation I did really enjoy it. I loved sitting there listening to singers all day and listening to new talents and hearing voices that make me shiver.
“It was lovely to sit alongside Simon, Louis and Cheryl.”
Pixie, who went to stage and drama school and has been writing songs since she was 14, says she has enjoyed the routine of Strictly.
Pixie would love to share the Strictly prize with her family – if she wins it

She said: “This is the first time since I was at school I have had a routine and it kind of feels nice.
“I would like to win Strictly, my family love coming down and supporting me.
“It could be anyone to win. It’s down to the public vote and you have no clue who the public are voting for. It’s just going to be a surprise but there are lots of people who deserve to win.”
Pixie said she still hoped to make the Strictly tour which follows the show but it might clash with other commitments.
She said: “Music is my number one passion but I didn’t know how much I loved dancing. I have felt very nervous on Strictly and sick before each dance; I have never felt that with my own performances but we have just over a minute, it’s very fast and if you get one wrong move, you let your partner down.
“I am super excited to be starting my new album in January and it will be tough to fit the Strictly Tour in, we are just trying to see if I can fit dates in.”
Pixie also revealed how her family have coped since her father Stephen’s recent heart surgery.
He suffered a rare heart defect and has been fitted with a pacemaker.
“Some of his arteries were blocked and he had a unique situation where he kept having these little episodes where he would faint. It was something to do with something blocking his airways, which meant when he was eating anything, would get in the way and he could not breath.
“We are pleased that he is so much better now. He is so much better we are very pleased. He is happy and jolly and likes to come to most Strictly shows.”
