Adam Lambert says that fans will be ‘surprised’ by his new music
Adam Lambert if having a hell of a year – and it’s barely begun.
He came out of nowhere to dazzle us on New Year’s Eve as the frontman for Queen and he’s currently blowing the roof off stadiums around the UK with the legendary band on their world tour.
And now he has announced a brand new solo album as part of his new record deal with Warner Music, with a brand new single out in April.
“I think people are going to be really surprised,” he says.
“The album feels like a new era for me – emotionally, lyrically, sonically. It feels fresh.”
Lambert is working with legendary Swedish hit-makers Max Martin and Shelback who have crafter huge global hits for the likes of Pink, Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera.
The 33-year-old American says he is increasingly influenced by what is happening on the UK and European music scene.
“Being on the road with a British rock band, and being in London a lot this year… I think that has affected my sound and where we are headed with it,” Lambert told Billboard.
“Europe is very ahead of the curve… and I was definitely influenced by that.”

After coming to fame as the runner-up on music reality show American Idol, Lambert also pays tribute to how much he has learned while collaborating and touring with Queen.
“Being on stage with Queen and remembering the most important things about music and performance are the most timeless things.
