Snoop Dogg, RZA and Common are headed to Springfield. According to Entertainment Weekly, the rappers have been tapped to voice an upcoming hour-long episode of The Simpsons. Entitled “The Great Phatsby,” the hip-hop themed show pays tribute to The Great Gatsby.

The trio will portray themselves in animated form. Empire‘s Taraji P. Henson and Key & Peele‘s Keegan-Michael Key will also guest in the episode.

“We wanted the Mt. Rushmore of rap, and we got it,” Dan Greaney, a Simpsons‘ producer who wrote the episode, told EW. “They represent different moods and different aspects of the history of hip-hop.”

Based on the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, The Simpsons‘ episode plot focuses on a friendship gone awry between Mr. Burns and a hip-hop mogul humorously named Jay G. The story is narrated by Homer Simpson.

The episode will feature original hip-hop songs penned by Jim Beanz, who produces music for Empire.

The two-part episode will air together for an hour. This is the first time The Simpsons has featured an hour-long show. The Simpsons‘ “The Great Phatsby” is slated to run in January.

The Simpsons has been renewed for its 29th and 30th seasons, making it the longest-running scripted American television show in history. Snoop Dogg is in the midst of his recently resurrected Puff Puff Pass tour, and last month Common released a remix of “Black America Again,” the title track of his 11th album, which features Gucci Mane and Pusha T.
