Dan, 31, apparently popped the question on Friday night and Kym immediately said “yes” – meaning this will be her third marriage.

The Coronation Street star hasn’t officially announced the news yet but is said to have told her children and close family.

The dark-haired actress certainly hinted at some good news when she took to Twitter to say she had had “the most amazing night” with Dan on Friday, adding the hashtag “luckygirl”.

She then revealed that the personal trainer was taking her away somewhere, by posting: “Can’t believe I’m out and about at this time!!!! Surely I should be in bed!!!! Ah well worth it! I’m being whisked away by my boy! #excited.”

Last night a friend told The Sun on Sunday: “Kym is the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever seen her and it’s purely down to Dan. She can’t wait to become his wife.”

Speaking about Dan’s proposal, the pal added: “He knew it had to be perfect for Kym.

“He was pretty certain she’d say ‘Yes’ but he was still nervous. Dan hadn’t told Kym what was going to happen but they both dressed up for a big night out.”

The couple moved in together in July after meeting on a night out in February.

Speaking in October about their romance, Kym said: “I’ve never been happier. I feel like a weight’s been lifted off my shoulders and it’s all because of Dan.”

The former Hear’Say star split from second husband Jamie Lomas last year and filed for divorce in October citing ‘unreasonable behaviour’.

She was previously married to another soap star, Jack Ryder, but theirs ended in 2008.
